Cambodia Alliance for the Arts, a nonprofit organization based outside of Florida, has worked with Snoop Design LLC, a professional Las Vegas web design company, to completely redesign and rebuild their website blog ,
Cambodia Alliance for the Arts (CAA) was established in August 2010 by two old friends, Tyan Young and Sophia SAnh. They started the organization with the mission to create awareness by recognizing, encouraging and promoting Cambodian artists from around the world and charities that assist in improving and prosperity in Cambodia. CAA do so consistently interviewing and appointment Rouge, which is in the creative arts industry on their website to help promote these inspiring and hopeful individuals.
Cambodia Alliance for the Arts has done and will do wonders for the Cambodian community, creating a stronger sense of unity among the younger generations and even internationally. Support CAA has been found in social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter in such a short time shows that the mission of their organization is working! CAA has been interviewed by professionals who Remy Hou (a fashion designer who has worked with such luminaries as Paul McCartney, John Legend, Katy Perry and many others), Christophe Lan (a French-Cambodian singer who tours Mirabilia Musica) May-Lee Chai (the award-winning author of Dragon Chica) Sath NOP (founder of Sakiri Vodka), Jessica Theary Sim (a fashion designer who has worked on shoots video for Lil Scrappy, Ciara, Young Joc, Mobile Field and many others), Karen toe (model, actress, activist and Cambodian rights), Emmanuelle Nhean (known abstract artist), and so many others. With such an exponentially growing audience and several interviews lined up with Khmer artists and professionals, CAA decided to redesign their sites to enable better navigation, increased opportunities for social distribution methods, and incorporate a cleaner, more periodical press release design.
CAA was also designed to want to be able to obtain additional funding to enable visitors to donate via PayPal and sponsors to advertise on the site. CAA also teamed up with some other vendors, Motion Vintage (http://www.pursuitforvintage.com) and CamboFresh (http://www.cambofresh.com), which has agreed to sell their products for sale site CAA, with a percentage of sales donated to CAA to help support the efforts of the organization.
CAA all started with a free web design mockup into a full program for the website. Cambodian League for the Arts has requested a free website mockup design of Snoop through their website, http://www.wedidyoursite.com. After examining the CAA guidance on what the government would appeal to, and it looks and feels like to achieve, lurk Design came up with a mock home that included a very clean, modern design with many features aimed to make allows visitors to easily share blog posts, pages, CAA, and products in various social media platforms. Based on the mockup, CAA took the decision to work with Snoop plans to help rebrand and rebuild their website.
The main focus at the top of the page is designed to be a showcase of contemporary artists and interviews. The Featured Posts section is a smooth area includes various positions interview with a short clip of each link and the full posts. After all, the purpose of the CAA – highlighting artists and interviews – so it seems to fit the project well. Lure Design is also a prominent “Share” buttons to each post and page of the product to promote interaction and makes it very easy for visitors to help spread the CAA with your favorite social media platform and the ability to share via email. Lure design includes standard social Dock icon in the top sidebar for visitors to quickly find different social media to learn even more about the CAA.
CAA logo lurking Design went with an orange color scheme to light up the page and give a “fresh” look. Orange is the key color and gray shades used as an accent color to help reinforce the overall design, so the orange does not take away from the seriousness of the website. Gray is also reminiscent of the style magazine / newspaper.
To further promote the style of the magazine since, lurking Planning decided to spend more than a portrait of the last pictures blog post, put the introductory passage to the right of the picture and no less a horizontal image. The vertical orientation is slightly different than the normal thumbnail or landscape orientation and helps to differentiate the site from other similar websites.
Aim CAA spread their reach internationally, lurking design incorporates an easy to find a translation tool area run by Google which allows visitors to translate the site into several languages around the world to ensure availability. This project also includes a space in the sidebar for links and sponsored ads on affiliate marketing to help generate funds to further support their case, and a light, it is hard to miss “Help us to grow” donate button top of page.
Design lurking complete design with a final call to action to get involved visitors. The footer section is a message for visitors to tell their stories about what they do in their communities. Users are encouraged to submit their work or achievements to be presented on the site. Snoop Designs also wanted to include a personal touch to the end, giving a brief introduction to CAA co-founders, Tyan and wisdom. The goal is to “put a face to a name” if you will. The goal is to give visitors a general feeling that the CAA is personable, accessible, community-oriented.
Overall site has a very clean and elegant look to it, gives it fashion magazine feel that CAA was looking for. The design flows from top to bottom and takes the visitor through the many details without boring them or delete them with too much clutter. Since launching the new website on 12 March 2011, CAA has experienced a dramatic increase in traffic, which is reflected in the drastic improvement in their ranking website and efforts CAA will continue to pay the full support of the Cambodian community to show that whatever hardships Khmer communities witnessed in recent decades, nothing can stop the younger generations to pursue their dreams!
